Is Huawei Planning To Ditch The Kirin Processor In Their Upcoming P Series Smartphones?
Huawei and some other companies use the in-house processor of Huawei in their flagship smartphones. But that might create a problem for Huawei. The United States has imposed restrictions on HiSilicon from dealing with tech companies based in America. It is the chip manufacturing unit of Huawei. Some reports state that the US administration has restricted the TSMC or Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company to work with US-based companies. As per Huawei official notification, it is confirmed that they have stopped taking new orders. They will launch P50 with the other company’s chipset, which is expected to hit the market in 2021. John Vinh , Capital Market analyst, said that Huawei might opt for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipset processor for their P50 and Mate 50 flagship smartphones.
