What Kaley Cuoco Has Said About her “The Big Bang Theory” Success
If you are one of Sheldon Cooper fans who firmly believe that there will never be any such show as “The Big Bang Theory,” your opinion might be shared by many. The show’s female sensation Kaley Cuoco is known for her role as Leonard’s attractive neighbor Penny Hofstadter. Later becoming his eventual partner, she believes that it would be impossible for any show to imitate what “The Big Bang Theory” has done for 12 seasons on CBS.
The show achieved a rare feat in 2019 when it attained the status of the longest-running multi-camera comedy show in the history of television entertainment. The show finally ended last year after its historic run of twelve seasons. Its star Kaley Cuoco has already signed for a new role in the HBO Max series “The Flight Attendant” and has revealed in her interview that she is quite happy with what her show “The Big Bang Theory” has achieved. She is quite satisfied that it is quite unlikely that it will never be replicated.
She is now taking a break from her fantastic run in a comedy show and is ready to embark on a more serious and deadly road. The drama-comedy with elements of the crime thriller “The Flight Attendant” will arrive on HBO Max soon, and that means the entire production is in full swing for the series’ promotion.
Promoting her film in an interview with the Los Angeles Times, she reflected on her time as the internationally renowned character Penny.
She told the correspondents of the well-known newspaper that she has fond memories of “The Big Bang Theory”- memories which will never fade from her mind. That doesn’t mean she is detached from what she is doing right now, as it is relatively fresh and unique. However, she did mention that the rating, pay, and the time she had with “The Big Bang Theory” was extraordinary.
Although the show has ended (thanks to Jim Parsons), it doesn’t mean her career would too, and despite the fact she hasn’t done much for the past one year (because she was taking her time getting over it), she has made quite a name for herself in the market and getting a job will not be that difficult for her.
She has given her voice to Harley Quinn, which featured in one of DC’s animated shows, and is looking to start a new phase in her career. However, she has squirms and apprehensions regarding her future, and that is understandable.
She explained in the interview that she has some tension over her future because the audience has seen her differently, and that might be difficult for the audience to shove it off. However, she and the entire production team of “The Flight Attendant” has worked quite challenging for the show, and that too in the middle of excruciating worries of the pandemic, and it deserves a nod.
It is understandable why it would be difficult for her fans to see her in a new avatar. She was also a part of the show “8 Simple Rules,” which had ended two years before the commencement of herculean success “The Big Band Theory.”
She could have easily found and done another sitcom, but she chose a different path, and the move does deserve some applause. As far as we are concerned, we can only hope that the move pays off.
The Flight Attendant will premiere on HBO Max on Thursday, November the 26th, 2020.
