Latest Fall Update on Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Nintendo is one of the most famous video gaming companies that has never failed to satisfy the players with their console, and games. Being the oldest video gaming company, they have understood the requirements and demands of the gamers very well. They deliver better performance and games than ever. Players find updates on their favorite games which boosts the performance and sometimes, the graphics get better as well.

As Halloween inches closer, Nintendo is planning to bring a festive update on Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Halloween is celebrated in a lot of countries, and this festival brings all the friends and family closer. Kids and adults dress up, and the homes are surrounded by the pumpkin pie aroma and Halloween decorations. Considering it to be a loved festival, Nintendo is bringing the essence of Halloween in their Animal Crossing: New Horizons game.

On 25th September, Nintendo revealed that they are coming up with a Fall update on Animal Crossing: New Horizons. From the 30th September, this update will be available for download. It will enhance the graphics, and bring a lot of new activity and games related to the fall season. The update will also include an All-Hallows-Eve addition where you can dress up in different costumes (like you do in real-life Halloween celebration), and roam around in your and your friends’ island in a spooky garb.

The company is also bringing their Animal Crossing: New Horizons amiibo Card Series 1-4 in retail stores this November. A pack of this series will cost $6 and use it; you can add new characters to your island. Other than this, Nintendo was careful not to reveal all the details immediately.

In the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game, you can now grow pumpkins. You’ll be able to decorate your home and island for celebrating all the autumnal occasions, but first, you have to purchase a pumpkin. This purchase will start the game from Leif year-round or from Nook’s Cranny during October. Once your pumpkin grows to its full size, you can start harvesting it and use it in your pumpkin-based DIY projects.

Another new feature is preparing for Halloween. Growing pumpkins is only the initial stage of the Halloween update. As the Halloween inches closer, you can start collecting the candies and stock them for later. You can then go to the Able Sisters Shop to find the perfect Halloween costume according to your style. You can also try body paint and colored eye contacts, but you have to exchange Nook Miles. Then, you will learn about the Halloween DIY projects from your fellow residents. On the celebration night, you can see all your neighbours dipping into the spirits of Halloween with their costumes.

After 5 pm on Halloween night, all your neighbours will gather in the plaza covered in Halloween decorations. A mysterious guest named Jack, also known as the ‘czar of Halloween,’ will visit you on the night of 31st October. Give some lollipops and candy to Jack to earn spooky in-game rewards. Save some candy treats for your neighbors as well, or you will get tricked or fall prey to a prank. The update will let you express your feelings and expressions with a couple of new Reactions.

Apart from these features, you can go to sleep and visit an entirely new and unrecognized island in your dreams. This feature has been on the game since summers, but now, you have the option to revisit these dreams. You will find a list full of dream islands you’ve been to, and clicking on either of them will let you revisit those islands without any fuss.

Lastly, note that the NookLink Service on the Nintendo Switch Online smartphone app will receive an update by the end of September or early October. This update will enable you to use your smartphone to post Reactions in the game. Until the smartphone update rolls out, you can enjoy the update available on the Animal Crossing: New Horizons itself.
