Bong Joon Ho’s ‘Memories of Murder’ is Back, New Posters Released

 The Oscar-winning filmmaker Bong Joon Ho’s Memories of Murder will soon release as a video on demand. Memories of Murder is a South Korean crime film directed and co-written by Bong Joon-ho. The film is based on the real event of the first serial killing in Korea between 1986 and 1991 in Hwaseong. Shim Sung-bo and Bong Joon-ho write the screenplay of the movie. Bong’s second feature film as director and it stars Kim Sang-Kyung, Kim Roi-ha, Kim Kwang-rim, Park Hae-il, and Byun Hee-bong.


Joon-ho is one of the brilliant Korean directors and producers. His films are generally based on social themes with the mixer of dark comedy. His 2019 film Parasite won many awards, including the most prestigious Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay and Joon-ho received the award of Best Director. The movie’s plot was set in 1986; the bodies of two women are found in a ditch. They are abused and murdered. Park Doo-man, a local detective, has not dealt with any case like this one before. Another detective from Seoul, Seo Tae-Yoon, also joins the team to assist them.

The three, Cho, Park, and Seo, investigate in different ways where they see a man masturbating in red lingerie. Cho and Park catch him and brutally beat him. Seo finds a survivor of the killer and learns that the killer’s hands are noticeably soft while the arrested one has rough hands. And from there, the investigation of the case begins.
