Perform the MS Office Installer as Administrator

  1. At first, go to the ‘Office installer.exe’ file on your system.
  2. Then right-click on it and choose Run as administrator.

Perform the Installer in Compatibility Mode

To perform the installer in compatibility mode, follow these on-screen steps provided below:

  1. Navigate to the setup file for MS Office, then right-click on it.
  2. After that, choose the Properties option.
  3. You should click on the tab of Compatibility.
  4. Then tick the ‘Run this program in compatibility’ checkbox.
  5. You have to choose Windows 8 over the platform pull-down menu.
  6. Thereafter, click on the option of ‘Run this program as administrator.’
  7. Later, hit the Apply button to save the changes.
  8. Now, hit the OK button to shut the screen.

Uninstall Other MS Office Installations

To uninstall other MS Office installations, follow these on-screen steps provided below:

  1. Firstly, launch the Run accessory by holding Win and R hotkeys combination on the keyboard.
  2. Thereafter, input ‘appwiz.cpl’ into it and press the OK button to launch the ‘Programs and Features’ screen.
  3. You should click on the MS Office program that appeared in the ‘Programs and Features’ section.
  4. Later, hit the Uninstall button to delete the program.
  5. Now, reboot the Windows.

Remove MS Office Registry Keys

To remove MS Office registry keys, follow these on-screen steps provided below:

  1. Open the Run accessory by holding Win and R hotkeys combination on the keyboard.
  2. Afterward, back up the registry before continuing.
  3. Optionally, you should configure a System Restore point.
  4. Now, launch this registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Office.
  5. You should reach the MS Office key and right-click on it to choose the Delete option.
  6. Now, browse to the path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > AppVISV.
  7. Then remove the key of ‘AppVISV.’
  8. Go to this following path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Office > ClickToRun
  9. Finally, remove the key of ‘ClickToRun.’

Repair MS Office

To repair MS Office, follow these on-screen steps provided below:

  1. Navigate to the Control Panel screen on your system.
  2. Afterward, click on the Programs option.
  3. You should reach the ‘Programs and Features’ option and click on it.
  4. After that, select the Office 365 package.
  5. Then find and hit the button of Change.
  6. Now, begin by performing a Quick Repair option and look at whether that fixed the issue.
  7. In case Office 365 is still giving you trouble, then run the Online Repair utility.
